Calma's infinity pool at dusk overlooking the Batroun hills

Al Ftahat, Batroun · North Lebanon

A stone house, a quiet pool, and the whole valley to yourself

Calma is a private guest house in the hills above Batroun. Bring the people you like most, lock the blue door behind you, and let the days go slow.

What Calma is

The kind of quiet you can actually hear

Calma sits on a terraced hillside fifteen minutes from the Batroun souks, far enough that the only sounds are the wind in the oaks and the water moving in the pool. The house is built from local stone, with cobalt-blue doors and shutters that have been painted the same colour for as long as anyone remembers.

It is yours alone when you book it. A private entrance, a private garden, and a rooftop that catches the sunset every single evening. Come as a couple, or fill it with friends — it sleeps up to eight.

Why people stay

Everything you need, and not much you don't

Private infinity pool

A long blue pool that meets the horizon, lit softly after dark for late swims.

Garden & terraces

Olive and oak shade, a hammock, fire pit and curtained day-beds tucked into the slope.

Yours entirely

Your own entrance and grounds. No shared spaces, no neighbours through the wall.

A rooftop for evenings

String lights, a long table and a sunset that lands over the valley every night.

A day here

From first coffee to the last lamp

A flower-lined stone walkway with blue shutters and a view of the hills

Morning

Coffee on the walkway

Wake up to geraniums along the path and mist still sitting in the valley. Carry your cup out and follow the boardwalk to whichever corner of the garden the sun has found first.

Afternoon

The hours that do nothing

Swim, then dry off in the net hammock strung over the edge of the terrace. This is the part of the day Calma was built for — the doing of nothing in particular.

Evening

Dinner under the lights

When the light turns gold, the rooftop is where everyone ends up. Lay the long table, string the lights, and let the evening stretch out as far as it wants to.

Guest notes

People rarely want to leave

We came for two nights and left already planning the next trip. The pool at sunset is something I still think about.

Stayed in September

Completely private, spotless, and the host answered every message in minutes. Perfect for our group of six.

Weekend with friends

We hosted a small birthday on the rooftop. The view did half the work and the space did the rest.

Private celebration

Where you'll be

Close to town, but it won't feel like it

Batroun is one of the oldest towns on the Mediterranean — old souks, sea-front bars, and the famous lemonade. Calma keeps you a short drive from all of it while sitting high enough in the hills that the noise never follows you home.
